A study found that the most innovative companies intentionally established diverse work teams (Kanter, 1983)

Ideas generated by ethnically diverse groups (composed of Blacks, Latinos, Whites, and Asians) generated ideas that were rated as being of higher quality than ideas generated by an ethnically homogenous group (McLeod, Lobel, and Cox, 1996)
